Well, the answer is not as simple as a “go there, do that”, unfortunately. In most cases, these cause game clients to crash. Sometimes, though, faults and incompatibilities can sneak through. Generally, Mod Makers do a good job with testing their modifications.Some mods may not be immediately available for the new Update The Mod Maker will need to update said modification.As each Update creates a new client folder, mods will not work in a new Update.There is also a limit to what can be displayed. How it is displayed might be changed, but not what is displayed. The client (your PC) simply displays the data that is calculated on the server. It is in fact quite difficult to cheat in World of Warships, since the game itself is running on the server rather than on the players' PCs. Each mod in the above packs and the Discord Server has been checked and approved by Wargaming. Essentially, each mod is merely a different way of displaying data that is already available to players. Some players will learn of a mod and say that its use is "cheating". The purpose of mods is to make the interface more comfortable for you. There are also some players that prefer the vanilla client. Others enjoy the variety of ship skins (and even remodels) available. Some like different range displays on the mini-map. Some players find that a flatter sea makes it easier to identify targets while some love bigger waves. For instance, a turquoise spider crosshair may be easier to see for some than a plain white one. Mods and mod packs can be discussed in many places, including the modders' own sites. It’s worth mentioning that usually 'mods' are first uploaded in the Discord server, then added to Aslain’s Modpack and later to WG’s ModStation. Can be overwhelming, but a great place to explore.
