I think a more interesting approach could offer Summoner style of gameplay and abilities. There's nothing outwardly special about playing as a Keeper of the Grove by having Treants with Moonfire or Treants providing a healing buff while active. Honestly just looking at the Keeper of the Grove talents, half of them could literally be regular Druid or Resto/Balance talents. I think Hero Talents is misnamed for what it attempts to fulfill. However, it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that some HotS Sylvanas abilities and talents pop up in the Dark Ranger talents. From what we've seen though, it doesn't satisfy the Hero concept. I agree that its nowhere close to what the OP is talking about. TBF, 10 talents is a lot of talents that can significantly alter your playstyle. Sure class skin idea is a full skin, but that can still be done with things like glyphs in combination with hero talents. There are many overlaps, but hero talents currently is missing the customization part, which should defo be included along the way imo, but that is what I see people discuss the most here. The thing that seems to be the constant issue here, is people compare it to the fanfiction idea of class skins. Messing to much with the talents won't end up well I think. I Rather see them add additional taps dedicated to the fantasy and let people customize more in a purely cosmetic way. I can see them add more stuff, but adding additional tiers over 3 expansions is going to be a little much I think, we would essentially end up with 3 full talents trees. Discussion those possible options is indeed a little hard at this point, but still that is what this is for. And frankly I'm not going to be surprised if they get more ambitious as they add more tiers to the trees, especially if it's something players are expressing an interest in.It will be of no surprise that they will add more things over time, as they call it an evergreen feauture. They are making Hero Talents the core class customization system for the next three expansions in lieu of adding more talent tiers, so I don't think people discussing what they'd like for them to become, even if well beyond the scope of what's currently planned, is something that warrants lashing out like this.Įven if they just repeat the process in each of the next expansions, that'd be 30 ways to alter your abilities both mechanically and visually.
